Friday Funny 137: The Avenging League Team

TGIF!

Thank God it’s Friday. I bring good news on this blessed day in the month. As you may have noticed, it’s December, the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas is only 24 days away and I can’t wait for this loving holiday. Here is some news I want to share. If you are a fan of Hunter x Hunter, I got good news, the manga is coming back in January! In the movie news, Marvel just released the trailer to the upcoming Avengers movie, Avengers: Infinity War. This movie will finally feature a super hero cast filled with the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Dr. Strange, Spider-Man, Ant Man and Wasp, and Black Panther and all of them will face the dangerous villain, Thanos.

In video game news, Final Fantasy XV recently celebrated one year anniversary of release on November 29th. Announced in Square Enix blog from Square Portal, Final Fantasy XV will be receiving new updates such as Episode Ignis coming out on December 13th. This Episode will allow you to play as Ignis and the story will have multiple endings in which you can choose the outcome. Before we get there, Square will release an Anniversary Update where players can swap characters and play as either Prompto, Gladiolus and Ignis while the AI play as Noctis; however, this is only for the Comrades Multiplayer Expansion story. Also mentioned from game director Hajime Tabata, there will be at least three more Episode DLCs and two of them involves Ardyn and Lunafreya for 2018.

Also, I want to say thank you to Maku for buying me coffee at my Ko-fi page! If you are reading this, I appreciate the kind gesture. If you wish to show your support for my blog, I will leave a link to my page. If you do give me a tip, I might even give you a shout out.

With all said, let’s kick December!

Friday Funny 117: Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust

TGIF!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome everyone to my magical blog kingdom, it is I, Matthew, and I am here to enlighten your day with some good humor and silly laughs. I hope you children are having a good week of summer because I am going to give you another great episode of TGIF Friday Funny. Before we begin I got some news for you guys to look forward to while you have fun or chill.

This past Tuesday, I went to Disneyland with my whole family (this includes my grandparents, sister and husband, and us). It has been a long time since I been to Disneyland; the last time I went was in 2008 where I went to both Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventures. This whole theme brought back my inner childhood and made me really appreciate the magic of this place. Speaking of Disney, if you are free this weekend from today through Sunday, Anaheim is hosting a convention called the D23 (D stands for Disney and 23 is 1923 where Walt Disney became the founder of his company). The D23 will offering information and fun to Disney fans who are interested in Disneyland, Disney cartoons and movies whether it is about Marvel, Star Wars or generally cartoon films. Mark your calendars for Saturday because according online sources, this Saturday will be unveiling some video game information on Kingdom Hearts III, Spider-Man PS4, and Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Also, be sure to support the OWLS this week. Go read Hazel’s post on Psycho Mob, Lita’s talk on Superheroes and Naja’s post on My Hero Academia. We are discussing on the the importance of our reflection on society and comparing ourselves to others and why does it matter today.

Last but least, I recently wrote a post about how did Final Fantasy affected my life the impact it left in commemorating for the 30 years of gaming. My Final Fantasy Legacy: Happy 30th Anniversary #FFLegacies discusses my humble beginnings and my future path of Final Fantasy. What is your legacy?

I also saw Spider-Man: Homecoming last Sunday. It was an amazing movie and I highly recommend it. The story was filled with many intense action scenes and silly humor and Tom Holland really nailed it as Spider-Man.

With all said, let’s begin the magic!

Here are some videos to watch. This will be in 3 parts.

Part 1 is the video games that are expected to show in D23.

Star Wars Battlefront 2

Part 2: Here is my top 10 Disney Songs! (One song out all the movies)

10. We Are One

9. Eye to Eye

8. Son of Man

7. I’ll Make a Man Out of You

Marvel News: Sony Solo Films!

News

2018 is going to be a busy year because Marvel announced some surprising news.

Sony, who owns Spider-Man, announced that in 2018 they will be doing a solo movie focusing only on Spider-Man’s rival, Venom. The actor chosen to be Venom will be Tom Hardy (same actor who played as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises). The film will be set to be release in theaters in October 5th, 2018. Unfortunately, unlike Spider-Man who is part of the MCU (Avengers, Iron-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc), Venom will not be part of the universe and will only be in Sony. This is also around the same time as the upcoming DC film Aquaman.

Also, a planned animated movie starring Miles Morales Spider-Man is coming out in December 2018! To those who don’t know, Miles Morales is an African-Hispanic mixed teen who becomes the new Spider-Man after the death of Peter Parker Spider-Man in the Ultimate Marvel comics. This animated movie will be owned by Sony.

Last but not least, joining in the solo films is announcement of the female characters Black Cat and Silver Sable. Once again, they will NOT be part of the MCU films. This planned film will be star these women who has some connection to the Spider-Man comics. This film is in development now.

My birthday gifts

Here is another short post.

Besides the stuff I bought from Little Tokyo, I got some gifts from my  family and I want to share some pictures for you guys on what I got for my birthday.

My younger brother got me a Marvel t-shirt, my sister and her husband got me two Pokemon shirts and my parents got me a Mortal Kombat shirt. They also got me the Final Fantasy XV – Piano Collection.

I also got some money from my grandparents. I used some gift money and purchased some Kingdom Hearts goods from Hot Topic: a lanyard and an exclusive Donald Duck Pop Funko figure.

My mom, who works in Scentsy, also got me a new burner and the burner is designed to look like stacked stones. I have  a habit of stacking stones whenever I go to the beach and my mom got me this candle. Scentsy is a company that sells lamps that burns and create fresh scents from burning wax, scented candles to be exact. It looks like this:

Whenever I try to stack stones, I feel like Smoker from One Piece.

I also got to download the dlc to Final Fantasy XV, Episode Gladiolus. I still need to finish the story, but I did play Chapter 13, verse 2 with Gladio. Gladio is a strong fighter and I enjoyed seeing his story.

To end this post, I will let Donald and Kirito say good bye.

Kirito: Good bye everyone. Thanks for the love for Matthew.

Donald: Bye! Bye! Come back real soon. You made Matt  a very happy boy.

Thank you guys for the nice comments and messages. God bless you all.

TGIF Friday Funny 71: My Girl!

TGIF, Thank God it’s Friday!

Good morning (or evening)! Welcome back to a spectacular Friday episode. Before we get started here are some news I would like to bring up. To those who don’t know, I recently started the 30 Day Anime Challenge. For the next 30 days, I will be answering questions in regards to my anime interest. You can see my previous answered days at awards/tags page in my blog page. Also, Tite Kubo’s manga series Bleach has finally ended. This series had been running for 15 years and it finally concluded. Even the series is over, some fans are miffed about the pairing of the main character Icihigo Kurosaki (I will not spoil it here). As we reach the end of the Friday for August, let us be prepare for the following week as get ready for September. Last but least, I have surprise tribute to one of my friends. Her birthday was on Wednesday August 24 but since I really can’t, physically, go celebrate, I have a surprise for her. Why are my friends so far away?

Anyway, let’s start this Friday with a bang!

Before I close post, I have a special announcement to make. I would like happy birthday to a college friend I know. Happy Birthday ToniAnne Erickson! Thanks for being my first friend at college and I enjoyed the time we spent chatting about random stuff and Marvel things.

What makes ToniAnne a great friend is that she is awesome to talk too. She likes Marvel comics and she likes to chill and watch TV shows. Her favorite shows are Breaking Bad, X-Files and Supernatural. She also likes music from artists like Twenty One Pilots, Three Days Grace, Skillet, and 30 Seconds to Mars. Her personal favorite song “My Girl by The Temptations” is another one she likes. She told me a little story behind this one: When she was baby, her brother would sing to her with this song and she would be fast to sleep. Unfortunately, her brother passed away when she was still young. God rest her brother’s soul.

Here are some of her favorite songs!

As an added bonus ToniAnne, if you ever want to get anime like me, a good friend mine named Shay from Anime Reviewer Girl (her YouTube channel here) has helped me find some good titles for you to check out. In her awesome opinion and based on what you told me about your taste in shows, she recommends titles like these: Sword Art Online, Future Diary, One-Punch Man and ERASED. Since you also like superhero films, I recommend My Hero Academia (I also recommend Sword Art Online lol).

That’s all folks!

Happy Birthday ToniAnne! 🙂

Friday Funny (Order) 66: Golden Issue + Knuckles!

TGIF! Thank God it’s Friday!

Hello comic book lovers, or non-comic lovers! Today on this special episode, we got a busy weekend yet again. Here are my 3 reasons why.

It’s not Fanime, E3, or Anime Expo, it’s the Comic Con 2016! Comic Con begins on July 21 and ends on July 24, from Thursday to Sunday. It’s another special time where people go and meet actors and other fans who love Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, or even manga. Dress up as your favorite hero, villain or both and meet other fans all in one place. Get the latest scope on Superhero films and meet the actors or meet TV actors like The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones. If you plan to go to Comic Con, get ready to walk a lot and be careful out there. It will also be a hot weekend.

On July 23rd, Eiichiro Oda’s anime series “One Piece” will be getting another movie titled “One Piece Film: Gold.” The movie was made by the same creator of One Piece and he was in charge of designing the costumes and new characters. If you live in Japan, you wouldn’t want to miss this. According to recent news, an old enemy returns from the Water 7 Arc.

Way back at June 23rd, Sega announced that it was Sonic the Hedgehog’s 25th anniversary. The Blue Hedgehog was born in 1991 for the Sega Genesis. It was announced by Sega that there is a new Sonic project being developed and it will be out on 2017. On July 22nd through Twitch, Sega will provide details on this new project. It will be at July 22nd.

With everything settled, let’s begin young heroes!
