Happy One Year Anniversay Final Fantasy

Happy Anniversary to Final Fantasy XV! November 29th is the day the game has been released to all over the world for PS4 and Xbox One in 2016. Who would have thought this game will leave a big impact on the world and us fans. In this post, I want to talk about how this game affected me and made me a hardcore fan and also reflect on the past and what to expect on the future. To be honest, I didn’t plan this post out, so as of right now, I am writing from my head. I was actually going to title this Matthew vs Final Fantasy XV based on a video I saw called Johnny vs The Street Fighter series in which the YouTuber Johnny talks about how Street Fighter has affected him and giving us a brief history on the series.  Another title name was going to be Final Fantasy XV Retrospective. Anyway let’s  start!

Game News: Possible crossovers or remakes with Viewtiful Joe, Bayonetta and many more!

Hideki Kamiya, game designer and director of PlatinumGames, revealed some surprising news while being in a interview in Dengeki Playstation in regards to videos games.

“I want to work on a Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe remake, or a true sequel for Okami. A cooperation with Dante (from Devil May Cry) and Bayonetta might also be fun. Dear Capcom, if it’s okay with someone like me, I will help anytime. Best regards. Everyone, bow down your heads together with me!”

In other words, if people are willing to take a chance, Kamiya might bring back Devil May Cry or Viewtiful Joe in HD, a sequel to Okami or even have a crossover with Dante from Devil May Cry and Bayonetta from the Bayonetta series.
Hideki Kamiya is well known for these following games:
  • Resident Evil 2
  • Devil May Cry (2001)
  • Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2
  • Bayonetta
  • Wonderful Hero 101
  • Okami

What do you guys think of the news? Which one would you want to be see done?

For me, I would like to play the Vietiful Joe series again in HD or I would like to play Bayonetta in the crossover.

Fighting game news: Turtles in Injustice and Noctis in Tekken 7?

Injustice 2

https://i2.wp.com/gamessec.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/injustice-2-dlc-fighter-pack-3-adds-the-atom-enchantress-and-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles.jpg

I think most people know about this but here’s a quick recap news. Recently announced, the popular DC fighting game Injustice 2 has revealed another season pack for the game and it will be third. It’s revealed that Atom and Enchantress will participating in the game; however, this is not the big news stirring online. Also joining the game is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Based on what we can assume, players will be able to play as all four turtles and they will be able fight the DC characters, heroes and villains. These are not the characters from a different franchise crossing over in this game. Recently, Raiden from the Mortal Kombat series is in the game as well as Dark Horse comic character Hellboy.

Tekken 7

Tekken 7 will not only be getting Akuma from Capcom Street Fighter but apparently, someone from Square Enix. Final Fantasy XV hero Noctis Lucis Caelum will be joining Tekken 7! Based on the reveal trailer, Noctis will be fighting with his traditional Engine Blade along with his magic. His character will be playable and players will able to unlock arenas from the game such as fighting Hammerhead Repair Shop.

This is not the first time Noctis has encounter a crossover moment. Final Fantasy XV has crossover with Assassin’s Creed Origins with a festival, NieR: Automata with an exclusive Engine Blade weapon, and even Xbox exclusive Forza Horizon 3 with the Regalia.

Both these exclusive characters will be available to play in 2018 during the late winter.

Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades Closed Beta Quick Impressions

As a way to bring hype and attention to the upcoming expansion pack to the popular Final Fantasy XV game and it’s official online mode, I will be talking about my impression to the Closed Beta to Comrades. I am sorry that this is really late and I will try not to waste any time. This impression will be really fast and brief!

In the beginning, in order to get the beta, players must own a copy of Final Fantasy XV, a PS+ or Xbox Live account and got the season pass. Once you get the season pass, players will be gifted to try out the early stages to Comrades. When you first start the game, you are given the choice to be either man or woman; you can later customize your fashion. Once you get done, you will be placed in a server and you will be in a hub where you can interact with the characters and even train your skills. The weapons you get is a fast katana, shuikens, poles and daggers. Once you are ready to play, you go talk to Cor or someone who is there and start the mission. The missions usually involves with either killing a specific Daemon or protecting Cindy on a escort mission.

The Positives

I think it’s pretty cool that Square Enix is adding this new feature to the game. In the past, they have done online games such as Final Fantasy XI and XIV, so they are not new to this. For a beta game, this game wasn’t too difficult to understand. The controls feel exactly like Noctis from the main game and I like being able to still switch weapons. It’s also nice to interact with the side characters like Cindy and Cor and even feel part of the Kingsglaive.

The Negatives

As a beta, I understand things were going to be limited. I didn’t really much of this because the servers in this game wasn’t the best. There was times the game couldn’t find any open lobbies or a strong server and it made me feel like I wasted my time downloading a beta. Like most online complications, the game’s connection with players can have bugs such as lags or delays.

Overall

For being an early stage, this expansion game is pretty well done. The gameplay is no different than playing the main game. I think what’s fun is that you can have players working together and fight as one like game and movie. I also think that once the game is fully finished and polished for the full game, the complications won’t be present as often. I am looking forward to unlocking content for my character and even curious about the story. In my opinion, if you have Final Fantasy XV and you like the game, I would recommend it if you are hyped to play online. I might be jumping into conclusions since this was a beta. Did you play the beta? What is your opinion?

Just a reminder, Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades is expected to be released on November 15th for Xbox One and PS4. If players have the season pass, they will be able to play for free. Based on the recent trailer, the story of online will take place during 10 years where Noctis disappeared into the Crystal. With Noctis sudden disappearance, the rest of the surviving Lucians and Kingsglaive must stand together and fight the Daemons wandering Eos. Along the way, players will be able to encounter Noctis’s friends and they can work together and save Eos in the darkness.

Feel free to buy me a cup of coffee if you feel obliged to show more support!

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures: Eyes of Heaven game review

Published by Bandai Namco of Entertainment and developed by CyberConnect2 (they also worked on the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series), we get another JoJo Bizarre Adventure video game and unlike the previous game on the PS3 JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures: All-Star Battles, this game will not have players buy any DLCs. I got this game from a flash sale with a price of $15; the retail price is about $60. In the PSN store, this game title has the world bundle. That is because in the North America version, this digital game includes the game itself and all the DLC such as additional missions and Jotaro Kujo Part 4 version. In this review, this will contain spoiler but only minor. The spoilers will occur in the story and I will do my best to not give away too much details.
