With this said, I got some bad news in the world of anime. Revealed on Twitter yesterday, English company FUNimation revealed that the horror anime Shiki is losing the license! Get ready for some more Arc System Works games! Arc System Works is well-known for creating action packed anime-like games such as Blazblue, Dragon Ball FighterZ and even the recent crossover Blaznblue: Cross Tag Battle. Revealed in a Twitter countdown and revealed online, Studio Trigger (anime studio who created anime like Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill and recently Darling in the Franxx) are collaborating with Arc System Works to create a Kill la Kill video game. APLUS will also be involved with the project to the game and they are known for working on the game Little Witch Academia. More details will be revealed in Anime Expo in July. The game will be called Kill la Kill the Game – If – (Ifu).
With E3 2018 concluding, we got to see some amazing video games. Companies like Square Enix revealed some exciting new games like Kingdom Hearts III, an Xbox One version of NieR: Automata, and a Switch version of The World Ends With You: Final Remix. However, Square did not show any videos or news of the planned video game Final Fantasy VII Remake. However! According to the game director Tetsuya Nomura, who is also directing Kingdom Hearts III, made a comment on Final Fantasy VII Remake. In his own words, he said that the work in Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts III is “parallel”. If he is not busy with Kingdom Hearts III, he is working on Final Fantasy VII Remake. Here is what he is said:
“It’s not just in the early concept stages. We are actually in development. So right now, I’ve been putting 100 percent into Kingdom Hearts and 100 percent into Final Fantasy 7 and 100 percent into Kingdom Hearts and going back and forth.”
He also commented that he is putting a lot of work into FFVII Remake and he is content with overtime hours.
“I don’t get fatigued by that at all.” It’s really fun for me to do. I actually don’t like human relationships more than just work, so I just want to focus on work and creating things if I don’t have to deal with human relationships. It’s actually a little bit easier for me to do than not working.”
“I do need fans to play my games, to be able to create it, and so fans are definitely a factor to motivate me to keep on going.”

I heard this from my friend Ezra that his favorite RomCom manga series Kaguya-sama: Love is War will become an anime and I felt compelled to write the news. Revealed at ANN, the manga series Kaguya-sama: Love is War, created by Aka Akasaka, will be getting anime adaptation. You can check out the official website and Twitter to stay updated on any news. The creator also drew this illustration below to commemorate the manga’s green-lit success.
The manga is licensed by Viz Media and here is the following synopsis:
All’s fair when love is war!
Two geniuses. Two brains. Two hearts. One battle. Who will confess their love first…?!
Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane are two geniuses who stand atop their prestigious academy’s student council, making them the elite among elite. But it’s lonely at the top and each has fallen for the other. There’s just one huge problem standing in the way of lovey-dovey bliss—they’re both too prideful to be the first to confess their romantic feelings and thus become the “loser” in the competition of love! And so begins their daily schemes to force the other to confess first!
Also, Happy Birthday to Ezra! His birthday was in June 10th and I bet he is proud to hear this news. 🙂
I want to thank bookishnerdygirl for sharing this piece of news in regards to Kingdom Hearts III. Square Enix is releasing a lot of gameplay trailers in E3 and Kingdom Hearts III continues to surprise me every time. Coming back from Kingdom Hearts II is the return of Jack Sparrow and his world of Pirates of the Caribbean. Unlike the previous PS2 game (or you played the HD games on the PS3 or PS4 first), the combat and exploration of the world has expanded and has become immersive. The trailer shows Sora and his friends dressed as pirates and fighting against ships and heartless on the open seas. Sora can also swim underwater and fight more Heartless. The video also shows new and returning characters. Of the returning characters, we have Sora and Riku’s friend Kairi with nice, short hair and the once and former Organization XIII member Axel (his real name is Lea).
