Kingdom Hearts III news: Classic games and new detailed Twilight Town

Hello everyone! I got some more gaming news to tell you and it’s from a personal favorite series. I actually saw this from Twitter from someone who is named @RedMakuzawa, someone who loves Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. Also revealed in YouTube from the Kingdom Hearts official channel, Square Enix revealed a detailed version of the iconic Twilight Town along with returning characters Hayner, Pence and Olette in new clothes. We also got some gameplay of some interesting minigames which are inspired by 1980’s LCD games and Disney cartoons (think of it as combing Mr. Game and Watch and vintage Mickey Mouse as a game). Based on the trailer, there is four minigames to play and each one as a goal to winning.

I mentioned this in a old post that Square Enix already revealed that they were going to do minigames based of this by showing us a game called Giantland.

Thank you @RedMakuzawa . Keep us updated on video games. According to the description in Youtube, this trailer was revealed at a panel dedicated to the mobile game Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross]. The fan event is called  KINGDOM HEARTS Union χ[Cross] Dandelion Meeting.

What do you think about these minigames? Kingdom Hearts III will be released for Ps4 and Xbox One and it is unknown what is the release date, but it is likely to come out this year. Twilight Town is well known in the game series and it first appeared in Chains of Memories and playing a huge role in Kingdom Hearts II and 358/2 Days.

My Hero Academia game is coming to North America!

It is already known that this game is coming to Japan and Europe, but now Bandai Namco just recently released news that the game inspired by the anime My Hero Academia is coming to America.

Revealed in the tweet, a trailer revealed the gameplay of the characters and the battle features such as stage destruction and a sidekick assist combat. However, this game got a name change. According to the trailer, the game is called My Hero One’s Justice. It’s unknown why they decided to remove Academia or it could be an error. In America, this game will be available for PS4, X1, Switch and PC for this year.

Spider-Man game news: Can’t pre-order for DLC costumes? No Problem!

If you thought the news of the release date for the game Marvel’s Spider-Man was great, it is getting better!

According to the video game site DualShockers, Insomniac Games (creator of Ratchet and Clank, Spider-Man and formerly Spyro the Dragon) commented and revealed that the pre-order DLC for costumes will be in the game even if you can’t pre-order. Meaning, if you are unable to pre-order to get the suits like the Spider-Punk suit, you can still get it by playing the game. Yuri Lowenthal (voice actor of anime characters like Sasuke from Naruto) revealed that he will be voicing Spider-Man regardless to any suit.

The DLC story “The Story That Never Sleeps”; however, will be available as a DLC story individually. People who pre-order the game from Collector’s or Digital Deluxe will be able to play this three chapter story for free. To those who won’t buy the Collector’s Set or Digital Deluxe, you can simply pay for the DLC separate. Currently, there is no news for a season pass or price of the DLC story.

A FFXV and Shadow of the Tomb Raider collab?

It looks like I forgot to mention this yesterday, but apparently we’re getting more content for FFXV.

According to IGN, PAX East 2018 not only revealed more story dlc for Final Fantasy XV, but a collaboration is comng. Square Enix revealed that a Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy XV collaboration will be happening. It’s unknown what’s the details, but get ready for content for Noctis and his friends or even Lara Croft with Final Fantasy elements. This is not the first time a collaboration happened. Last year, Final Fantasy XV paired up with Assassin’s Creed: Origins and FFXV held a special event in the game where players could dress Noctis and his friends as Assassins and even obtain a Medjay shield weapon. In Assassin’s Creed: Origins. Square repaid them by giving gamers a Chocobo and Noctis’s Engine Blade. There was also Easter eggs in the game where players could find Umbra, Ardyn and Bahamut.

Recently, Square Enix has worked with the PC and gave fans DLC costumes such as Half-Life and Sims.

PAX East Final Fantasy XV news: More content for 2018 and 2019

If you were at PAX East, you might have attended the panel and listening on the news regarding to Final Fantasy XV. I didn’t go, but I found some tasty news!

Comrades standalone

Square Enix announced that the multiplayer expansion “Comrades” will be stand-alone. Meaning, you don’t need to buy Final Fantasy XV or have the game installed on the system. If you want to play online, you can get this game instead. Meanwhile, they will also be adding new features like raid battles. This stand-alone version will be out this summer.

Originally, the expansion is needed with a copy of FFXV in order to play.

New Episodes and Alternate Story?

It looks like Final Fantasy XV will be alive for 2018 as well. According to an outline at PAX East, Square Enix will be releasing 4 more Episode stories each involving Noctis, Lunafreya, Aranea and Ardyn. This new collection of Episodes will be called The Dawn of the Future. A new theme for the Episodes will be composed by Yoko Shimomura. According to Square Enix, these stories will portray a “alternate grand finale”. Meaning, these stories will have endings that could have happened and be different than the ending that was already presented in the main game. (If you already played and beat FFXV, you already know what I am talking about). These stories will be released in 2019.

Here is what is known:

As a fan of Final Fantasy XV, I am going to save up and play more!

Happy 4 Years of Blogging!

Awesome (personal) news!

This blog, Matt-in-the-Hat, has reached 4 years! Fantastic four years of blogging. My blog has been around since 2014.

It’s crazy how I started blogging all because of school at college. In one of my classes, I had to make an account in order to get graded. I talked about random news as a way to show the importance of the public sphere. After I got done with the class, instead of deleting this account, I left this blog thinking I will never come back. It wasn’t until near the end of 2014 where I decided to use this blog to express my interest in anime and video games. I was originally going to use this blog to keep on tabs on my life like a journal, but I changed my mind in order keep my life private.

2015 was a slow start to my blog as I didn’t find much people to talk to. Instead of waiting until people came by for a visit, I jumped around online. I think my first person to meet was Arria from Fujinsei because I found out she likes One Piece and I wanted to share my interests too. I also met other people who I liked to talk to such as joinning in discussions like Shay from Anime Reviewer Girl, talking about video games and Kill la Kill with Kauses or talking to Takuto about Sword Art Online. I also met some people who showed tons of love to anime and respect the otaku life like Lita and Haikyuu fans Naja and Kat Sade. There were tons of people I have met, but I can’t list them all. Maybe you can comment down below how did I meet you guys.

With 4 years of blogging, I have been trying to keep up with sharing the news in regards to my interests, writing reviews on topics I experienced and I even did my traditional TGIF posts. Would you believe me that Matt-in-the-Hat is a nickname of mine all because it’s based on the book Cat in the Hat. No doubt about that!

In all my years of writing and sharing my thoughts without hesitation, I didn’t think it was going to take me to further places. In the beginning of 2017, I was enlisted into the blogging team, the OWLS. The OWLS is a group of anibloggers or anivloggers who promote self-respect and support anyone. We use topics like anime, movies or writings to help get the point across. As a writer, I have a habit to write out all my thoughts and emotions on my blog and I am not afraid to speak up. In person, I am shy guy who can be a nerve wreck to speak, but thanks to online and writing, I am courageous.

Thank you everyone for staying with me for four years. Let’s try to aim for 5 years! Peace be with you!
