https://yaoiplayground.files.wordpress.com/2017/10/rikdvxx.png?w=440

I am so sorry that I didn’t do this last month, but this time, I want to do this and make it up. I got nominated by Mistress of Yaoi for the Unique Blogger Award. Here is the rules:

1 – Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.

#2 – Answer the questions.

#3 – In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award.

#4 – Ask them 3 questions.

These are her questions:

  1. Well I am the Mistress of Yaoi so I have to start here, what introduced you to the world of boys love and Yaoi?

Well I don’t know how or when did I first heard about Yaoi but I think I heard a friend of mine talking of an anime called Junjo Romantica. I didn’t watch it but I heard my friend told me about it and I thought it was weird. (I am not a big of Yaoi lol)

  1. What was the last song you listened to and sang along with?

It’s embarrassing to say this but with my family, I sang What’s Up by 4 Non Blondes. I then sang and tried to mimic the He-Man version.

  1. Got any fun plans for Halloween?

I didn’t do much for Halloween. All I did was rake leaves and ate candy corn and skittles. I also watched a classic movie in Blu-Ray called Casper. I enjoyed this movie as a kid and after watching it again as an adult, it made me feel younger and I did notice the adult content.

I got Ko-fi!

After doing some research and finding this out from my blogger friend TwoHappyCats, I decided to try out Ko-Fi. From I understand from the website and from TwoHappyCats, Ko-Fi is a special website where people can set up a free page for YouTube, WordPress or any other activity you do show work and get paid. Almost and not like Patreon, people can support these people with a measly donation and you don’t have to worry about donating monthly like Patreon. This is called “Buy Me a Coffee” and by clicking on the button or link, you will be taken to a page where you can donate and show your support. The set up is free and you don’t need to pay. If you have Paypal, you can use your email and password from you account and use it for Ko-fi and you can donations to your Paypal. I haven’t explore much but I think you can also donate with other means.

My Page

Why did I create a Ko-fi page?

In the past, I said I wanted to get paid for my writing here in my blog. Eventually, I want to upgrade my blog and make it a personal website. For now, I am going to use Ko-fi as a stepping stone as way to experience what is like to earn money from writing. I feel like doing more for my blog and I want experience something new. Nothing is going to change here drastically so don’t worry. I am still going to blog about anime, video games, news, TGIF and the usual even if you don’t donate. Ko-fi will allow me to see who is supporting my blog and is willing to give me a cup of coffee. If you wish to donate, I will be happy to give you a shout out, or if you don’t want to be placed on the spotlight, your secret is safe.

I am also going to try and update my Ko-fi page to make it look appealing. If you saw it now, it looks bland but like any other coffee shop, I am going to add some cream and love.

Thank you for taking the time to read this news. Rather you buy me a coffee or not, I appreciate you reading my post. As always, I am still going to give you guys the best in my posts even if you don’t click the link. I love you guys!

Also thank you TwoHappyCats for giving me the idea from your blog and others who encouraged me try it out. Give her some coffee!

The creator

According to Capili Jiron’s blog, the creator of the tag post was a blogger named Asqa. Asqa writes posts about poetry, quotes and DIY’s.

Shout-Out

Once again, I was tagged by Capili Jiron. She is a blogger who enjoys anime, video games, beauty and she even has her own YouTube channel.

Strengths and Love

One of my greatest strength is letting me feel empathy for others. Whenever I see someone in trouble or feeling sad, I am willing to listen to what they have to say. I give up my time for them. My other strength is writing whatever is in my head without hesitating. I am not afraid to write out my feelings. I do, however, have moments where I hold back a little bit in my writing but once I start writing from my emotions, I let it all out.

What I love about myself is that I am not perfect. I can mess up in life or I can fail in probably the most easiest things in life but in the end, my friends and family still accept my flaws. I appreciate my flaws and I don’t plan to change myself for the sake of others.

Inspirition

Who inspires me? My family and friends inspire me. My family tells me that I am very smart and unique. They tell me that I can mess up a lot but I can still be called successful. My friends know I am not the best friend in the world but they like me. They like me a lot that they can trust me with anything and some may even call me brother. With these people in my life, I don’t have to be afraid of people who wants to hurt me.

Advice

This might sound cliche but find people who accept you for who you are. If people like you regardless to your errors and flaws, you don’t really need to do anything to make them happy. They probably like you because you are different and they see you as fun.

Another advice would be listen to not bottle emotions. Someone might be hurting today but they are afraid to open up because they don’t want to ruin your day. It’s not good for someone to bottle their emotions and it’s not good to fake a smile for someone else who is already happy.  It’s better to let go of your emotions and and just talk it out with someone you trust. Some people might just to hear “you are important.”

Nominees

That’s all folks. I hope you enjoyed this post. Once you are done, go check out these blogs and follow them!

The move is over! – A chapter has begun

This is a real short post but I am here to give you an update in my life.

If you didn’t know by now in my past Friday posts, I was moving to a new home with the family. The move started on Friday on October 6th. The move process started Friday to all the way to Sunday. I worked like a busy bee in these past days and that’s why I haven’t been talking online here or Twitter. Sunday was the last time I saw my old house. I am going to miss it; I thank God for protecting this home over 20+ years and I couldn’t help but feel blessed. Now that I am living among with nature, I think this new environment will beneficial for my family. It’s very quiet and the weather is much better where I used to live. My friend Allie told me that usually, the weather is bipolar in California especially in the fall. In fall, the weather can be hot like Summer or very cold, dry. With the move over, it’s time to start a new chapter in my life. It’s time to see what God has in store for us.

Friday Funny 127: The Fall of Summer

TGIF!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back to another episode of my well famous Friday Funny posts! I am back from vacation and I am here to give you some laughs and some news. Today is the official beginning of the season Fall and the end of Summer. Here in the United States, the weather will get colder and the color of leaves will change and fall down. However, in California, just like my friend Allie says, California is well-known for its bipolar weather where in fall, one day will feel like a comfortable cool day and another day will feel like summer again. As we reach fall, get ready for the upcoming season in October, November, and December! Speaking of change, there is also some upcoming change that will also affect me personally, but I will keep you guys inform probably next week; it will affect my blogging.

Besides that, if you guys seen the horror remake classic It, be cautious of the return of scary clowns at night! If you don’t like clowns, there are some other horror live-action anime movies you can sit and enjoy. You can watch the Netflix Death Note or reserve your ticket to see the live-action movie Tokyo Ghoul. Funimation states that the movie will be in select theaters in October 16 to 22.

With this said, let’s begin this post will laughs and giggles. Bring your pumpkin spice coffee, balloons, apple and let’s get spooky!

To end this post, here are some random videos!

I will be back on Sunday and feeling refreshed.

In the meantime, please continue to support the OWLS and Arria’s Blog Carnival. Also please support my best friend Allie’s fanfiction story. She needs feedback and it would make me happy to hear that someone has read her stories. If you do visit her, tell I said hi.

This is my response to Shay’s video and Kauses (creator of Otaku Gamer Zone) post. In this special post, I will briefly discussing how did I get into anime and what kind of shows did I see growing up. I am going to use the best of my best memory to write down my life. It may not be 100% but I am going to share it. I don’t want to bore you with the details so I will just briefly describe my experience.

Friday Funny 125: Nothing is true; everything is permitted

TGIF!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome again to TGIF Friday Funny, a day where I post up more silly content. I hope everyone is doing okay as we make it to the another week of September. As Hurricane Harvey drifts away,  Hurricane Irma appears and I pray that everyone will be safe on the East side of the United States. This week is also the beginning of the a new blog tour for the OWLS.  If you go to the blog, we already started a new topic called Treasures in which we talk about the importance of what is that we value and the dangers of mental illness.

In my life news, I completed the story for the DLC for the game Final Fantasy XV Assassin’s Festival. I am hoping to do a review for the story and what I thought about this collaboration. I also started watching a new anime and it’s called My Hero Academia. So far this anime has a great cast of characters and I love the music in it. Also most importantly, this month will be very busy this month as I will deal with stuff related with my family. As a heads up, my blog writing might be cut down a bit as we get to the middle of the month. Hopefully, this won’t lead to a hiatus or a break but just in case I disappear this month, something has come up. I will still try to blog as usual and I will keep you guys informed.

With this said, let’s have fun!

Some of you have seen the Netflix Death Note 2017 movie and I bet you guys were traumatized on how awful (or good) on the presentation. To help boost or forget the live action movie, here are some anime clips.

But wait there’s more! To end this post, please check out my best friend Allie’s blog. Just like me, she is a writer like me and she made a blog to write out a fan-fiction of her favorite cartoon Loonatics Unleashed and she made her own adaptation of season 3. Please help and give her feedback on her writing. She is a more awesome writer than myself and she would be happy if she had people read them. Once you read them or at least one, tell her I said hi!

OWLS Blog Tour: Samurai Jack – The 50 Year Treasure Hunt

“Treasure”

There are moments in our lives where we lose our sense of self-worth and value and as a result, we find ourselves deep in darkness or drowning in the ocean. However, every person in this world is a treasure—we treasure ourselves or we are treasured by others—and at times, we may need to be reminded of that. For this month’s topic, we will be exploring pop culture characters who have suffered from mental illnesses, depression, and/or suicide. We will be discussing how these individuals cope with these issues, the reasons for their emotions, and how they handled the situations they are in.

***Mental illness, suicide, and depression are pretty serious topics and we hope that our OWLS post will give you some solace.

(I will keep the spoilers a minimum. If not, it will have spoilers!)
