Tokyo Ghoul video game announced!

If you thought the news with Kill la Kill was insane, get ready to be blown away because another anime is getting a video game adaptation.  Announced in the Japanese Jump magazine, Sui Ishida’s manga series Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul:re will be in a video game. The game is called Tokyo Ghoul – Call to Exist and it will be a 3rd person, survival action game for PS4. According to ANN, the game will cover the story from manga of Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul:re and it will have online gameplay. The game is slated for winter and it’s unknown, but it might be possibly be out for other countries besides Japan.

Oh my gosh! We’re getting JoJo Part 5 anime!

Good news JoJo fans, Hirohiko Araki’s insanely popular series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is getting another anime adaptation. Revealed today by the creator, Part 5 of JoJo is getting an anime adaptation. The manga titled of this in Japan is called Vento Aureo while the anime is going to be titled Golden Wind. According to the English license company Viz, fans can get inside news on this new anime in this upcoming Anime Expo in July 6th.

According to ANN, Part 5 takes place after the events of Part 4 (Diamond is Unbreakable) where Jotaro and Koichi goes to Naples in search of a person named Haruno Shiobana. Haruno Shiobana is actually Giorno Giovanna. Giorno goal is to rise up to the most powerful mafia called the Passione. Giorno is also the offspring of Dio Brando (an antagonist of the Joestar family), but he also carries the blood of the Joestar.

Scary anime Shiki is expiring!

Let me be the first to say Happy Father’s Day everyone! I hope you guys are having a fun day with your dads or someone you see as a dad!

With this said, I got some bad news in the world of anime. Revealed on Twitter yesterday, English company FUNimation revealed that the horror anime Shiki is losing the license! This horror vampire anime will be removed from the FUNimation catalog in June 30th. If you haven’t bought this copy or streamed the series, you have until June 30th until the anime expires!

Studio Trigger, APLUS and Arc System Works collaborate to make a Kill la Kill game

Get ready for some more Arc System Works games! Arc System Works is well-known for creating action packed anime-like games such as Blazblue, Dragon Ball FighterZ and even the recent crossover Blaznblue: Cross Tag Battle. Revealed in a Twitter countdown and revealed online, Studio Trigger (anime studio who created anime like Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill and recently Darling in the Franxx) are collaborating with Arc System Works to create a Kill la Kill video game. APLUS will also be involved with the project to the game and they are known for working on the game Little Witch Academia. More details will be revealed in Anime Expo in July. The game will be called Kill la Kill the Game – If – (Ifu).

Anime Pop Team Epic joins Toonami!

With Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapter in it’s last episode, Toonami revealed some exciting anime news on FaceBook. The comedic anime Pop Team Epic will be joining Toonami on June 30th at 12 AM (depending on timezone you watch it or based on the East or West coast). Here is the following line up for June 30th.

10:30 p.m. – Dragon Ball Super
11:00 p.m. – My Hero Academia
11:30 p.m. – FLCL: Progressive
12:00 a.m. – Pop Team Epic
12:30 a.m. – JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders
1:00 a.m. – Hunter x Hunter
1:30 a.m. – Black Clover
2:00 a.m. – Naruto Shippūden
2:30 a.m. – Space Dandy
3:00 a.m. – Cowboy Bebop
3:30 a.m. – Lupin III: Part IV

The anime is based on a surreal four-panel manga that centers around two 14-year-old girls, the short Popuko and the tall Pipimi.

Visual Novel Clannad enters to PS4 digital stores in N. America and Europe!

Well-known in Japan and in other countries, the visual novel series made by Key Clannad will be joining in the PS4 digital stores in North America and Europe. This news was announced today and the game company in charge of this named Prototype stated that this visual novel will be in the PS4 and will only be digital. The game will be released in late June and this game will be available in different regions of the world.

If you didn’t know, Sekai Projects, an English Company who licenses visual novels, originally released Clannad and the spinoffs in Steam. Now with this news, players or fans can experience Clannad either on Steam PC or PS4.

Clannad is a visual novel which follows delinquent high school student Tomoya Okazaki, who one day meets a strange girl named Nagisa Furukawa who is a year older, but is repeating her last year of high school due to illness. Tomoya becomes involved with Nagisa and her hopes of restarting the school drama club.

The series also got an anime adaptation which is split into two seasons (Clannad and Clannad: After Story) in both English and Japanese Dub. There is also a movie version too, but it was done by Kyoto Animation and told the story differenty.

Viz Media licenses Accel World movie and OVA

Revealed this Sunday, English company Viz Media announced at Anime Central that they got the license to release the anime movie and OVA of Accel World. Revealed in Twitter and Anime News Network, the anime movie Accel World: Infinite Burst will have returning voice actors along with new VA for the new characters and it will also be in English Dub.

Also being released is the OVAs of Accel World. The OVAs is Reverberation and the other is Vacation. Both of these OVA were bundled in the Japanese games for PS3/PSP in 2012 and 2013.

Accel World: Infinite Burst and the OVAs Reverberation and Vacation are planned to be release this fall of 2018.

Viz Media licensed One-Punch Man season 2!

Revealed on Twitter and the site, English license company Viz Media officially licensed the sequel series One-Punch Man. This comedy-action superhero series will be getting a second season. This news also means that Viz Media will have the rights to stream the anime and also sell the home videos and merchandise. It’s unknown when will the anime premiere, but it will be sometime this year.
