Whenever we have a disagreement with someone, we use our words to express our thoughts and opinions. However, there are those who would rather use fists instead of words, those who forget that being “right” isn’t the most important thing, and those who lose sight of compromising and acknowledging differences in opinion and belief. Diplomacy is an important skill and tactic that not many of us have or are able to utilize properly especially in “social media wars” for sensitive issues and anime discourse—we just express our opinions without really listening. For this month’s prompt, we will be exploring some of the best negotiations scenes in pop culture media and discuss how effective these diplomatic moments are and what we can learn from them. We will also discuss why communication and listening are important traits to have and whether or not there are other means to enforce peace.
Will contain spoilers to Tokyo Ghoul anime. Also, please support the previous OWLS blog tour post from Moonid.
I am sorry I didn’t bring this up sooner, life got me distracted. I have come to bring you terrible news I found out now. Another anime is being taken down because of Aniplex of America and that anime is Angel Beats. To those who don’t know, Angel Beats is based on a visual novel owned by Key in which is known for Clannad, Kanon and other titles. According from Crunchyroll and in Sentai Filmwork’s Twitter, Sentai will be distributing a coupon code for their store in which anyone who does have a copy for DVD or Blu-Ray can purchase this anime series really cheap.
Here’s the synposis:
Otonashi is a young boy living in the afterlife with no memories of his life before his death. He joins a school organization called the SSS whose mission is to fight against God.
This is not the first time an anime disappears because of situations like this. Aniplex has taken action on anime like the Fullmetal Alchemist series, Sekirei, Black Butler and other titles even from FUNimation.
